Anti-Static Sensor & Finer Mesh
The anti-static sensor has been designed to repel dust particles, decreasing the likelihood of false alarms. The finer mesh anti-bug screen over the sensor chamber minimises insect contamination.
Interconnect up to 24 units
Can be used as a standalone smoke alarm, or interconnect up to 24 units. Wirelessly interconnect using the LIF6000WB (wireless interlinking base plate) and also use the Remote Test & Hush controller, LIF6000THL.
HAVE THE OLD GENERATION LIF5000, LIF5800 OR LIF6000?
The new LIF6800 smoke alarm will fit on to the same base plate as the older generation LIF5000, LIF5800, LIF5800, LIF5800/2, LIF5800RL/2, LIF6000 & LIF6000RL smoke alarms.Simply slide off the old model, and slide on the new LIF6800!

It’s a shame the new smoke alarm doesn’t fit the old, same brand base. Now I need a sparky to wire the new alarms up.

Appreciate the time you have taken to review. Which model were you replacing? The LIF6800 does fit the same base plate as the LIF5000, LIF5800, LIF5800/2 and LIF6000 models and also their equivalent rechargeable lithium models.

The two I purchased to replace the 12 year old ones I had, arrived quickly and fitted into the existing bases. Working perfectly.
I was referred to the Home Safety Store by PSA Products following a query to confirm that the LIF6800 was compatible with our 14 year old LIF5000 base which it was. Ordered two to replace the old units and they arrived well packaged and as described. Fitted into the existing bases no problem saving the cost of having an electrician install another brand of smoke detector.
